I'm Derek I work at Life Community in Bluffton, Indiana. I create the graphics you see every week during the service, along with posters, bulletins, webpage and some of the videos. My big project lately has been the redesign of the webpage www.missionoflife.com.
As of right now if you'd visit the site you will see the outdated no longer used site, all black and dark. With the hand in the right hand corner "reaching up" which goes along with the slogan "reach up out and around"
The new site that I'm excited to tell you about will be light colored! Inviting. Friendly. Welcoming. And easy to navigate! White and red (if you want to get technical red #B90D0F) are it's primary colors. The main page will allow you to get to all you need from the side bar on the left. Including the biggest part of the website...the services! Watch the entire service online or if you really enjoyed it you can also FREELY download it! How cool is that? You'll also be able to download the bulletin for the services including upcoming services!
My main idea for the new site is keep the visitor up to date on all the things at Life. Being able to download any content that they may need. Very exciting. Did you really like a service but wish the teacher would have gone deeper with it? Problem solved. The new site will feature extended notes and teachings from the service. I don't have a name for this feature yet...termed loosely as "Deeper Notes" ...maybe LifeNotes. Suggestions? LifeNotes sounds good.
Along with the new website comes these nifty blogs! Chad, Craig, (the main teachers at Life), Joy (worship), along with Tara and Melissa (children's ministry) will all have them, so as to better keep the people at Life informed.
